Update account and business information

How to update your account information and business details in the Kustom Portal.

Keeping your account information up to date ensures accuracy in transactions, compliance, and communication with Kustom. You can update various details, such as your business name, address, contact emails, and more, under Settings in the Kustom Portal.

How to update Business type

You can request an update to your Business type by following these steps:

  • Open the Kustom Portal and sign in.

  • Click on your Settings at the bottom of the menu to the left.

  • Select Business details and Store.

  • Click on Edit in the Business type box in order to edit:

    • Business type

    • Business Structure

  • Click Save.

Your updated details will be processed within 24 hours. If additional information is required, you will be notified through the Kustom Portal.

How to update Business details

You can request an update to your Business details, such as your store’s URL, by following these steps:

  • Open the Kustom Portal and sign in.

  • Click on your Settings at the bottom of the menu to the left.

  • Select Business details and Store.

  • Click on Edit in the Business details box in order to edit:

    • Legal business name

      • Read the important notice below before changing this name.

    • Business name (Trading name)

      • This name controls what is displayed to customers in the checkout.

    • Organisation number

    • Business address

    • Business phone number

    • Business website (URL)

      • Updating the Business Website will affect the URL presented during checkout and the website associated with the store.

  • Click Save.

Your updated details will be processed within 24 hours. If additional information is required, you will be notified through the Kustom Portal.

Important notice

The Legal business name should remain unchanged unless required for compliance purposes (e.g. the business has made a legal name change). Updates to other names can be done independently.

How to update Statement descriptor

You can modify your Statement descriptor by going to Public Details. The statement descriptor shows up on your customers' bank or credit card statements.

  • Open the Kustom Portal and sign in.

  • Click on your Settings at the bottom of the menu to the left.

  • Select Business details and Store.

  • Click on Edit in the Public details box.

  • Update the Statement Descriptor.

  • Click Continue at the bottom of the page to save.

Your changes will be applied within 24 hours, and any required follow-up will be communicated via the Kustom Portal.

How to update Management and ownership details

You can update your Management and ownership information, including your legal name and contact details.

  • Open the Kustom Portal and sign in.

  • Click on your Settings at the bottom of the menu to the left.

  • Select Business details and Store.

  • Depending on what you want to do, the Management and Ownership section of the Business details allows you to:

Add a new owner

  • Click on Add someone new if you want to add a new owner.

    • Fill in legal first name

    • Fill in legal last name

    • Fill in the persons email address

    • Select the appropriate checkboxes

      • Does the person own 25% or more in the company?

      • Is the person a member of the governing board of the company?

      • Is the person an executive or senior manager with significant management responsibility?

Once a new person is added, additional details needs to be added to the person. This is done through editing an existing representative.

Edit existing representatives

  • Click on Edit in the box related to the person you would like to edit. Here you can edit the following:

    • Legal first name

    • Legal last name

    • Email address

    • If the person owns 25% or more in the company

    • If the person is a member of the governing board of the company

    • Job title

    • Date of Birth

    • Home address

    • Phone number

    • Updated ID verification

You also have the option to remove the person as an account representative.

Your updates will be processed within 24 hours, and any additional requirements will be communicated via the Kustom Portal.

Payout details section

At the bottom of the Business Details, you are able to change the Bank Account details Kustom is making payouts to.
