Use this article to understand why your first payout from Kustom takes longer than later payouts, and how long to expect it to take.
Your first payout from Kustom can take up to 7 days to arrive. This delay only applies to your first payout. It is caused by mandatory Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) screenings, which are required by financial regulations to prevent fraud and money laundering.
After your first payout, all future payouts follow your standard payout schedule without this extra delay.
Why does the first payout take longer?
Before Kustom sends your first payout, Kustom runs KYC and AML checks on every new payout recipient. These checks typically include:
Verifying your identity.
Confirming your bank account details.
Running regulatory compliance checks.
These checks prevent unauthorized or illegal transactions and make sure your first payout goes to the correct recipient.
How to avoid further delays to your first payout
Complete any KYC requests in the Kustom Portal as soon as you see them. See Know Your Customer (KYC) and business verification.
Make sure you have registered an IBAN for every currency you sell in. See Changing bank account.
Capture your orders when you ship them, as only captured orders are paid out. See Capture order.
