When a shopper completes a payment using Swish, the settlement process follows your existing schedule. The payment is processed in real-time, and funds are transferred to your account according to your standard settlement timeline. You will receive settlements at the same frequency as your other payment methods.

How will shoppers use this payment method in checkout?

When a shopper proceeds to checkout, they will see Swish as one of the available payment options. The exact experience may vary slightly depending on whether the shopper is on a desktop or mobile device:

On mobile:

  1. The shopper selects Swish from the list of payment options in the Kustom checkout

  2. The Swish app opens automatically on the shopper's device

  3. The shopper confirms the payment in the app

  4. The payment is processed immediately and both shopper and merchant receive confirmation

On desktop:

  1. The shopper selects Swish from the list of payment options in the Kustom checkout

  2. The shopper enters their mobile phone number and is prompted to check their Swish app for a payment request

  3. The shopper opens the Swish app and approves the payment

  4. The payment is processed immediately and both shopper and merchant receive confirmation

Do shoppers need to do anything different to use this payment method?

Shoppers need to have a Swedish bank account and a Swish account, registered by linking their mobile number to their bank account via their bank. The checkout flow is designed to be seamless and intuitive, with no card details required at any point.

You do not need to make any technical changes to your integration or checkout configuration.

Will this affect my reporting or order management flows?

Transactions made with Swish will appear in your reporting and order management systems just like any other payment method. You can view these transactions in your Kustom Portal, and they will be included in your standard reports. Your existing order management processes remain unchanged.
