When you need to verify your identity
You will only be asked to complete this process if:
You cannot remember your old bank account information, or
You no longer have access to the account previously linked to your Kustom profile
In this case, you’ll see a message with a clickable link in bold text: “You can verify your identity instead.” Clicking this will start the verification process.
When Stripe verification is required
Once you choose to verify your identity instead of confirming the old bank account, it is likely because:
Your previous identity verification expired or was rejected
Stripe requires updated details due to AML/KYC regulations
You recently changed ownership, or your user details have changed
Stripe needs to validate your access to the connected account
This ensures your payouts and account activity remain secure and compliant.
