Introduction
Kustom offers the S700 and S710 smart Stripe readers with our software connected to our fullstack of payment capabilities.
These are currently limited to closed beta merchants at the moment, if you are interested then reach out to your Kustom representative or our support team.
Main benefits of using a Kustom terminal
Dedicated hardware that is optimized to take card payments - giving you the highest possible success rate
Able to handle the scenario of chip & PIN requirement, i.e inserting the card in the terminal and typing PIN code
Cost effective hardware compared to smartphones
Can be paired with MPOS on a second device such as a tablet to facilitate an over the counter setup
How to use the terminal
The terminal will be shipped and delivered pre-configured to your merchant account and assigned location by Kustom. These are the steps to activate it:
Start the terminal by holding the top left button
Once started you need to connect the terminal to your Wifi
In the MPOS app make sure that you go to settings - Reader connection - Select terminal connection
Note: In case you need to put in the security code to access the settings on the terminal this is: 07139
Next you can trigger the payment on the terminal:
To create a order just follow the regular steps in the MPOS app
On the payment screen select “Send to terminal” to trigger the payment
Receipts will be triggered on the device with the MPOS app
Note: Scan to pay and QR code will be triggered on the device where the MPOS app is being used and not on the terminal
