What is changing
From September 15, 2026:
Klarna API – API calls to Klarna endpoints (
*.klarna.com) will no longer work. This affects any integration that still calls Klarna directly for order management, refunds, or captures.Klarna Merchant Portal – you will no longer be able to log in or access any data through the Klarna Merchant Portal. This includes order history, settlement reports, and dispute management.
Kustom will continue to support merchants via Kustom support channels.
What this means for you
Refunds and order management
After September 15, refunds and order management for orders that were originally placed through Klarna are not supported via the Klarna Merchant Portal or Klarna's API.
If you need to issue a refund or manage an order from before the migration, this must be handled in your own systems using your own process. Read more in Handling refunds on legacy Klarna orders.
Disputes
No new disputes can be opened after 180 days from the date of capture. This means that by September 25, 2026, all orders processed by Klarna will be past the dispute window — so new disputes are not expected after that date.
Any disputes that are still open should be resolved before September 15, 2026. After that date, dispute management for legacy Klarna orders is not supported via the Klarna Merchant Portal or Klarna's API.

Settlement and reporting data
If you need historical settlement reports or transaction data, download and save it from the Klarna Merchant Portal or via Klarna's API before September 15, 2026. After that date, this data will no longer be accessible through the portal or API.
What Kustom handles for you
For orders placed through Kustom, everything continues as normal — checkout, order management, payouts, and settlements are all handled through the Kustom Portal and API.
Legacy Klarna orders — including refunds, disputes, and settlement data — are not managed by Kustom. You are responsible for handling these before September 15, 2026, using your own systems and processes.

If you need settlement reports or historical data, download it from the Klarna Merchant Portal or via Klarna's API
If you have open disputes, resolve them in the Klarna Merchant Portal
If you have pending refunds on legacy Klarna orders, ensure they are handled before the deadline
