What is Amazon Pay?
Amazon Pay is a digital payment service that lets shoppers use the payment methods saved in their Amazon account to complete purchases on third-party websites and apps. This payment method is beneficial for merchants because it can significantly increase conversion rates by reducing checkout friction — shoppers don't need to create an account or enter new payment details. Shoppers benefit from a fast, secure checkout experience backed by Amazon's trusted brand.
When will this payment method become available in my checkout?
Amazon Pay is available as an opt-in payment method. To enable it, please reach out to our support with the following information: your merchant ID, that you want to add Amazon Pay, and the date you want it activated. We will enable it as soon as we can for you.
Do I need to enable this payment method manually?
Yes, Amazon Pay requires manual activation from Kustom. Contact our support to request it to be enabled for your account.

Will there be any changes to my prices or additional fees?

How will settlements work when shoppers pay with this method?
When a shopper completes a payment using Amazon Pay, the settlement process follows your existing schedule. The payment is processed in real-time, and funds are transferred to your account according to your standard settlement timeline — at the same frequency as your other payment methods.

The shopper selects Amazon Pay from the list of payment options in Kustom Checkout
They are prompted to log in to their Amazon account (if not already logged in)
The shopper selects their preferred payment method and delivery address saved in Amazon
They confirm the payment
The transaction is completed instantly
Do shoppers need to do anything different to use this payment method?
To pay with Amazon Pay, shoppers simply need an Amazon account with a saved payment method. There's nothing new to set up — they log in with their existing Amazon credentials and confirm the purchase. It's one of the fastest checkout experiences available, as all payment and address details are pre-filled.

You do not need to make any technical changes to your integration or checkout configuration. To enable Amazon Pay, please reach out to our support with your merchant ID and the date you want it added. We will take care of the rest.
Will this affect my reporting or order management flows?
Transactions made with Amazon Pay will appear in your reporting and order management systems just like any other payment method. You can view these transactions in your Kustom Portal, and they will be included in your standard reports. Your existing order management processes remain unchanged.
