Global checkout is our solution for global sales in countries where Kustom has no support for localized payment methods. When you are selling using Global your customers can safely check out using card payment methods.

Local checkout is our solution for local sales, where your customers will be offered localized payment methods in their local currency.

Local checkout should be used if you want to offer your customers in specific countries more payment methods other than just card payments.

You will then be required to offer sales in the customers local currency.

Global checkout is a great solution to use if you want to sell globally, but only wish to sell in a specific currency- Or want to offer sales to more countries outside of the Kustom default offering.

Global and local do not need any specific configuration on your end, as it is automatic and is only based on the currency you are passing to Kustom Checkout.

If you use the local currency for a country, the local checkout will be displayed.

For example, if you were to pass the currency SEK and country Sweden your Swedish customers would get the local checkout.

Other examples include NOK for Norway, DKK for Denmark or EUR for Finland.

If you however pass a differing currency from the local currency in the country, the global checkout will be displayed. For example, if you were to pass EUR and country Sweden your Swedish customers would get the global checkout.

Check your checkout.

If you are only able to pay with card that means you are currently using Global.

To fix this make sure you are passing the correct currency for the country you want the local checkout in.
