With Kustom MPOS, you can sell in person anywhere — in-store, at pop-ups, or on the go — using only your phone and the Kustom app. It’s designed for small retailers who want an easy, hardware-free way to accept payments and stay compliant with Swedish cash register laws.
Overview
Kustom MPOS combines a payment terminal and certified cash register system in one mobile app.
It’s a simple solution for small physical retailers who need to take payments, manage products, and stay compliant with Kassalagstiftningen (Swedish cash register legislation).
Currently launching in Sweden by Q1 2026.
Key features
Kustom MPOS combines payments and cash register functionality in a single device, so you don't need separate systems or hardware. Tap to Pay lets you accept contactless payments via card or mobile wallet directly through your phone.
The app includes a product catalog where you can add and manage items manually or upload them via CSV. You can build carts and process in-person transactions right in the app with the integrated cart and checkout feature. Finally, the system is compliance-ready and built to meet Swedish cash register regulations (Kassalagstiftningen).

Compliance and certification
Kustom MPOS is being developed in line with Swedish cash register laws. To comply with Kassalagstiftningen, all in-store payments must go through a certified system that generates Z-reports for daily closing and bookkeeping.
Merchants register each cash register with Skatteverket (Swedish Tax Agency)
A 2027 regulation update will also require all in-store payments — including Swish and Klarna QR — to be processed through certified systems. Kustom MPOS is being built to meet these requirements.
How it works
Each merchant uses the same Merchant ID (MID) as for online sales, with a new channel identification in the Kustom Portal to distinguish MPOS orders.
Create a location (store or event) in the Portal
Register the cash register with Skatteverket
Start selling — all transactions appear in your Kustom Portal
Merchants can manage multiple locations under one MID, and event sellers can use a generic location for short-term sales.
Support and setup
Merchants will have access to a dedicated Point of Sale tab in the Kustom Portal for MPOS reporting and management. The app will include chat integration for direct support, similar to the Kustom Portal.
