TWINT is Switzerland's leading mobile payment solution that allows shoppers to pay instantly using their smartphone. This payment method is extremely popular in Switzerland and is trusted by millions of Swiss users for everyday transactions.

This payment method is beneficial for merchants because it can increase conversion rates among Swiss shoppers and provide them with a familiar, trusted payment experience. Shoppers benefit from instant payments, strong security features, and the convenience of paying directly from their mobile banking app.

When will this payment method become available in my checkout?

TWINT is available as an opt-in payment method for Swiss transactions. To enable TWINT, please reach out to merchant@kustom.co with the following information: your merchant ID, that you want to add TWINT for the Swiss market, and the date you want it added. We will add it as soon as we can for you.

Do I need to enable this payment method manually?

Yes, TWINT requires manual activation from Kustom. Contact merchant@kustom.co to request TWINT to be enabled for your account, and it will be added for eligible Swiss shoppers.

Will there be any changes to my prices or additional fees?

How will settlements work when shoppers pay with this method?

When a shopper completes a payment using TWINT, the settlement process follows your existing schedule. The payment is processed in real-time, and funds are transferred to your account according to your standard settlement timeline. You will receive settlements at the same frequency as your other payment methods.

How will shoppers use this payment method in checkout?

When a Swiss shopper proceeds to checkout, they will see TWINT as one of the available payment options. Here's what the experience looks like:

  1. The shopper selects TWINT from the list of payment options in the Kustom checkout

  2. They are prompted to open their TWINT app on their mobile device and confirm the payment

  3. After authorization in the TWINT app, the payment is processed immediately

  4. The shopper receives a confirmation message, and the order is completed

Do shoppers need to do anything different to use this payment method?

Shoppers need to have the TWINT app installed on their mobile device and linked to their Swiss bank account. The checkout flow itself remains familiar and straightforward - they simply select TWINT and confirm the payment in their mobile app.
