As a merchant using Kustom Checkout, you're covered by two layers of merchant protection — one through Kustom (covering card purchases) and one through Klarna (covering Klarna purchases). Together, these programs shield you from fraudulent transactions that make it through the checkout flow.

Every order placed through Kustom Checkout is screened for fraud before it's approved. Kustom handles fraud checks on card payments, while Klarna does the same for Klarna-based purchases. If an order passes these checks and goes through, you're covered against fraud claims — provided you follow the shipping policies outlined in each respective Merchant Protection Program.

If you receive an order that feels suspicious, the choice to ship or not is ultimately yours. However, by the time an order reaches you it has already passed automated fraud screening. If you do ship and the order later turns out to be fraudulent, you're protected under the MPP — as long as you followed the shipping policy at the time of fulfillment.
