Transfer of agreement

Learn how to transfer your agreement to another entity.

Updated over 2 months ago

A transfer of agreement changes the business entity registered on the merchant ID. The new entity assumes the original agreement, including its terms of service and obligations.

When the agreement is transferred, all orders, disputes, settlements, and refunds are carried over to the new entity.

When to request a transfer of agreement

Request a transfer of agreement when the business entity connected to your account changes and receives a new company registration number.

Examples of when to request a transfer include:

  • Your company gets a new company registration number (e.g., changing from a sole trader to a limited liability company).

  • Another company takes over your business.

  • Your company will merge with another entity.

How to request a transfer of agreement

To request a transfer of agreement, send an email from an admin-registered user with the following information to support@kustom.co:

  • Merchant ID:

  • A confirmation that you want to transfer your agreement e.g. ‘Request to transfer agreement’.

We will process your request and contact you via email if additional information is needed.

Alternative solution

If you prefer not to transfer the agreement, you can cancel the current agreement and have the new entity apply for a new one. To proceed with this option, you’ll need to submit a cancellation request.

Please note that if you cancel the agreement, all orders, disputes, settlements, and refunds will not transfer to the new entity and must be handled by the original entity.
