API endpoint switch status

The API page in the Kustom Portal shows which API endpoints your integration is currently using as part of the switch from Klarna to Kustom.

Updated over a month ago

The page helps you track whether your services are calling Kustomf or Klarna endpoints and what action is required.

If you haven't switched all endpoints yet, a warning also appears on the Portal home page (visible to admins only). This warning will remain until all your services have been switched to Kustom endpoints.

Access the API page

  • Log in to the Kustom Portal

  • Navigate to Integrations from the menu on the left

  • Select API

Only users with admin access can view this page. If you cannot see the Integrations section or the API page, you may not have sufficient permissions. Contact your account admin to update your access. Learn more about user management.

Admins also see a warning banner on the Portal home page when endpoints haven't been switched. This banner disappears once all services are using Kustom API endpoints.

What you'll see

If services are still using Klarna endpoints, an Action required section appears with a warning:

Some services are still using Klarna endpoints. Follow this guide to switch your setup to Kustom.

The table shows:

  • Service – service name (checkout, order management, settlement, hosted payment page)

  • Host – endpoint URL (api.klarna.com or api.kustom.co)

  • Last used – most recent call date and time

  • Action required – what to do (e.g., "Switch endpoint to api.kustom.co")

Note: The status is based on actual API requests to Kustom endpoints. If you've switched your configuration but haven't had any orders or requests yet, the portal will continue showing "Action required" until the first request is made to the new endpoint.

Dismissing the warning

If you've confirmed that the endpoint switch is complete, you can dismiss the warning from the API page. Select Dismiss warning at the bottom of the action required section, then confirm by selecting Yes, dismiss warning.

Once dismissed, the warning will no longer appear in the portal for that store for your user. It will not reappear automatically, so only dismiss it once you're certain all endpoints have been updated.

Note: The dismissal applies to your user only. Other admins on the same merchant id will still see the warning until they dismiss it individually.

What this page is used for

This page is informational only. You cannot update or change endpoints from this view. If any services show "Action required", the changes must be made in your integration configuration.

Once all your services are switched to Kustom endpoints, the action required section will disappear from your portal.

Note: All API endpoints must be switched to Kustom before March 31, 2026.
