When will this payment method become available in my checkout?
Cartes Bancaires is automatically available to all merchants selling in France and will appear automatically for eligible French shoppers in your checkout.
Please note that Cartes Bancaires visibility in your checkout depends on a transaction threshold. It will activate once you've processed €50 in card transactions (Visa, Amex or Mastercard) in France. Historical orders are included in this calculation. If you haven't met this threshold yet, there may be a delay before Cartes Bancaires becomes visible to your shoppers.
Do I need to enable this payment method manually?
No, Cartes Bancaires will be automatically added to your checkout. Once it becomes active, it will appear automatically for eligible French shoppers without requiring any action on your part.
Fees, pricing, and settlement
Will there be any changes to my prices or additional fees?
Having Cartes Bancaires in your checkout doesn't change your existing pricing structure. The same transaction fees apply as for Visa and Mastercard in France—there are no additional costs for offering this payment option. Your existing fee agreement with Kustom remains unchanged.
How will settlements work when shoppers pay with this method?
When a shopper completes a payment using Cartes Bancaires, the settlement process follows your existing schedule. The payment is processed through our card payment infrastructure, and funds are transferred to your account according to your standard settlement timeline. You will receive settlements at the same frequency as your other card payment methods.
