Background
As part of the migration from Klarna to Kustom, all remaining reservations in the Klarna Merchant Portal will be removed after October 31. This means that any order reservations still open in the Klarna Merchant Portal will no longer exist from that date onward. To make sure your business does not lose orders or payments, it is essential to take action before the deadline.
Klarna will remove all remaining order reservations from the Klarna Merchant Portal after October 31.
Any open reservations still in the legacy system will be removed after October 31.
Impact
If you have open reservations you intend to fulfill, you must capture them before October 31. After this date, these reservations will no longer exist, and you cannot capture them.
What you need to do
Pre-capture all open legacy Klarna reservations before October 31.
Inform affected consumers that their order has been captured and will be shipped as soon as possible.
Why this is necessary
Capturing ensures you receive payment for existing orders.
It prevents orders from being lost when Klarna decommissions the old system.

Will consumers be charged before shipment?
Yes. Capturing will settle the payment immediately. Clearly communicate why you captured early and confirm shipment is coming.
Is there any alternative if we prefer not to capture yet?
A fallback option exists: you can ask consumers to complete a fresh payment via a secure payment link sent out by Kustom.
This is not Kustom's preferred path and it should only be used if capturing is not possible.
Kustom cannot guarantee that all affected orders will be recoverable through this method.
